The latest addition to The Dish Group at Wangi District Workers Club is on the search for our next star restaurant supervisor!

The Role & Requirements

To be suitable for this role, previous experience in a hospitality leadership position is essential.

Our ideal candidate will be an excellent leader, work well as a team, and follow the directions of management in alignment with business goals.

They will be resilient and work well in fast paced and high pressure environments. A positive can-do attitude is essential, and must not be afraid of hard work as this is a physical hands-on position.

We will consider candidates of all age that are mature, and can handle customer complaints and build rapport with our mostly older clientele.

This position will be based on a rotating roster, with up to 38 hours weekly. Our hours of trade are:

Sun – Thur 11.30am – 2pm, 5pm – 8pm
Sat – Sun 11.30am – 2pm, 5pm – 8.30pm
Open public holidays (except Christmas)

Must have permenant working rights, we do NOT sponsor. Must have own transport due to isolated location of venue.

Duties

Daily tasks will include but are not limited to:

-Preparing the restaurant for trade
-Setting up/taking bookings
-Running meals & clearing tables
-Making coffees & preparing desserts
-Food preparation
-Taking orders
-Managing the team on shift
-Ensuring business procedures are followed & all required tasks are completed daily
-Stock orders
-Banking
-Handling enquiries & complaints
-Liaising with venue staff
